Active Ingredients for this medicine

Each tablet contains 250 mg, 500 mg ciprofloxacin.

How should I use this medicine

Always us DYNAFLOC exactly as your doctor has instructed you. DYNAFLOC tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid and may be taken with or without meals.
 
If you forget to take your DYNAFLOC, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for you next dose, continue to take the next tablet at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. 
 
DYNAFLOC should not be used if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Side Effects

Some side effects include (please consult the package insert for a full list):

  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea;
  • Dizziness or drowsiness;
  • Blurred vision;
  • Feeling nervous, anxious, or agitated

Seek medical attention right away if any of these side effects occur when using DYNAFLOC:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue). 

Common drug interaction

If you are taking other medicines on a regular basis, including complementary or traditional medicines, the use of DYNAFLOC with these medicines may cause undesirable interactions. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including any you have bought at your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.

  • Use of DYNAFLOC in combination with theophylline (a medicine used for asthma) may cause an increase in theophylline blood concentrations. As a result, you may experience more theophylline-related side effects.
  • Use of DYNAFLOC in combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines such as fenbufen may increase the risk of seizures.
  • The simultaneous administration of DYNAFLOC and warfarin (blood thinning medicine) may increase the chance of bleeding.
  • If you are a diabetic and use glibenclamide, combined treatment with DYNAFLOC may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).
  • Metoclopramide (medicine for the treatment of nausea and vomiting) accelerates the absorption of DYNAFLOC.
